The correct cleaning and maintenance of the copier by the operator is directly related to the quality of the copy and the service life of the copier

next, Taking Zhanjiang Canon np-1215 copier, which is widely owned and representative in the society, as an example, we will introduce the cleaning of electrostatic copiers in three parts

I. optical part

1 The cover plate of the original table can be removed and cleaned. Take it out directly from the copier platen, and wipe the stains on the white board of the cover plate with absorbent cotton. If the effect cannot be achieved, wipe it with a little detergent or alcohol

2. The glass of the original platen has the most chance of being polluted because the glass of the original platen often contacts with the copies. And its pollution has a great impact on the quality of copies, so its cleaning is particularly important. First, wipe the dust on the glass with absorbent cotton, and never wipe with hard objects. Then rub the glue, ink and oil on the glass with a little alcohol, and be careful not to let the alcohol flow into the copier. After the alcohol volatilizes, remove the two screws fixing the glass, and wipe the dust on the back of the glass with absorbent cotton

3. After removing the glass of the original table, the toner and dust on the components inside should be cleaned first. You can use a blower or a balloon to blow and sweep in one direction. Then move the original lamp assembly towards the middle of the copier and remove the two fixing screws on the anti reflection plate of the original lamp. Dry wipe the original lamp, reflector and side plate one by one

4. The first to sixth reflectors, lens and dust-proof glass first remove the four small screws that fix the lens cover to see the lens and the fourth reflector. The 1st ~ 3rd reflectors are located near the initial position of the copier original lighting assembly. Blow off the dust on each mirror with a blowing balloon, then wipe it carefully with absorbent cotton, and often replace the absorbent cotton. The wiping process must be light, cannot be wiped back and forth, and the wiping times should be as few as possible to avoid scratching the mirror; The spherical mirror of the lens should be wiped clockwise from the inside to the outside without excessive force; The dust-proof glass can be removed for wiping; The cleaning of the 5th and 6th reflectors can be found near the lens cover with the special cleaning tools equipped with the original copier when it leaves the factory. After the above treatment of each mirror, the two anti-skid test methods astmf489 and astmf1677 that were widely used at that time were withdrawn. If oil stains or finger prints can still be observed, they can be finely wiped with absorbent cotton dipped with a little alcohol. After the alcohol volatilizes, dry wipe it with absorbent cotton again

II. Electrical part

1.1 primary corona and primary corona grid first open the front door cover of the copier, and unlock the developer release handle and paper feeding release handle counterclockwise. Then unscrew the fastening screws of the photosensitive drum unit, slowly pull out the drum unit assembly, remove the two screws that fix the primary corona, carefully pull the primary corona and grid plate out along the guide rail, and never hurt the photosensitive drum. Carefully brush (blow) the dust and toner on the grid plate of the primary corona with a fine brush or blow air, and then specifically clean the cleaning rod of the primary corona wire. Finally, install the photosensitive drum unit in the reverse order of removal

2. Open the front door cover of the copier with the transfer corona and electrostatic discharge needle, and unlock the paper feeding release handle counterclockwise. Press down the handle of the transfer corona holder slightly to pull out the transfer corona. Because the transfer corona is located below the photosensitive drum assembly and the developer, there is a lot of dust and toner deposited, which is not easy to clean. Use a fine brush to clean the dust and toner. Do not use too much force, otherwise it is easy to break the guide wire on the corona. The electrostatic discharge needle is located after the corona device transfers the electrode wire, and the two fixing screws next to the corona device need to be removed. Wipe it carefully with absorbent cotton dipped in alcohol, and install it again after the alcohol volatilizes. Finally, move the rubber handle under the corona base to clean the transfer electrode wire several times

III. mechanical part

1 First open the front door cover of the copier, carefully wipe the dust on the paper feeding tray and paper conveyor with a clean cloth, and then wipe the stains on it with absorbent cotton dipped in alcohol. Never let water drip into the copier

2. The upper and lower fixing rollers

first open the front door cover of the copier and the back cover of the paper feeding section, and then use absorbent cotton to dip a little alcohol while rotating the fixing button for scrubbing. The lower fusing roller is generally easier to wipe, while the upper fusing roller deposits more toner, so it needs to be rubbed more patiently. During the cleaning process, if many black spots are found on the upper fusing roller that cannot be cleaned, it needs to be replaced before use
